The St. Charles Parish Council will hold a regular meeting beginning at 6:00 p.m. February 17, 2020 in the Council Chambers, located on the second floor of the courthouse, 15045 River Road in Hahnville. The meeting may also be viewed live on SCP-TV.

Items on the agenda for public hearing include but are not limited to:

• An ordinance to amend the St. Charles Parish Zoning Ordinance of 1981, to change the zoning classification from O-L to R-1A on approximately 38.4 acres in Fashion Plantation near 14855 River Road, Hahnville, as requested by JCJR St. Charles, LLC and Highway 18, LLC.

• An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 1 (Final) for Parish Project No. P080502-18A, Oak Street Pump Station Improvements, to balance the contract quantities with actual quantities resulting in a decrease of $103,895.00 in contract price and an increase in the contract time by 42 days.

• An ordinance of the Parish of St. Charles providing that the Code of Ordinances, Parish of St. Charles, be amended by revising Section 15-5, Motor Vehicles and Traffic, of said Code, to provide for the installation of “NO PARKING” signs on the east side of Early Street, between the road and the canal, from its intersection with Highway 90 to a distance of 140 feet northeastward in Paradis.

• An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of Change Order No. 2 and final for the Water Tower Demolition (Project No. WWKS 95) to increase the contract time by 15 calendar days.

• An ordinance approving and authorizing the execution of Change Order No. 2 for Parish Project No P160302-6, Road Maintenance 2019, to balance the contract quantities with actual quantities resulting in an increase of $66,825.75 and an increase in time of seven (7) days.

• An ordinance to approve and authorize the execution of an Engineering Services Contract between Huseman & Associates, LLC and St. Charles Parish to perform electrical and mechanical consulting engineering services associated with the replacement of the HVAC Unit #5 at the St. Charles Parish Courthouse located at 15045 River Rd., Hahnville, LA 70057. 

The council will also hear reports from the Department of Parks & Recreation/Community Center and Parish President Remarks/Report.
