On Monday, August 19, 2024, Willowdale Boulevard from US-90 to E. Heather Drive will be closed to motorists in both directions for the contractor to install guardrails, stripe the asphalt, and put finishing touches on the new dedicated right-turn lane. The closure is expected to last until Friday, August 23, 2024.   

A detour will be in place for both northbound and southbound Willowdale Blvd. Drivers usually taking northbound Willowdale to access US-90 will turn left on E. Heather Drive and right on northbound Lakewood Drive. Drivers needing to access Willowdale Blvd. will take Lakewood Drive southbound to E. Heather Drive. 

Parish Government is working with the School Board and Sheriff’s Office to accommodate bus traffic to and from the schools in the neighborhood.
