Keep St. Charles Parish Beautiful is thrilled to announce its affiliation with Keep Louisiana Beautiful (KLB) after a year-long formation process focused on outlining community goals for litter abatement and beautification throughout the parish.
With support from Parish President Matthew Jewell, Marny Stein, Affiliate Coordinator and Coastal Zone Manager, and Francesca Holt Blanchard, Public Information Officer, guided Keep St. Charles Parish Beautiful's affiliation.
“The Keep St. Charles Parish Beautiful Committee is excited to formalize our affiliation with Keep Louisiana Beautiful, as the process required us to develop a strong foundation to build our efforts,” said Marny Stein. “Our affiliation has already provided us with robust resources, and we look forward to many more years of this partnership that will help us reach our goals of reducing litter and beautifying public spaces in St. Charles Parish.”
During the affiliate formation year, the Keep St. Charles Parish Beautiful Committee applied for and received a grant for ten trash receptacles that were placed at the West Bank Bridge Park and Mississippi River Overlook in Luling. St. Charles Parish was also recognized with the Outstanding Parish Award from the Lieutenant Governor’s Office and KLB for our most successful Trash Bash in the event’s 16-year history.
