Parish President Matthew Jewell signed an executive order to close all government buildings and the St. Charles Parish Courthouse on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, in anticipation of an incoming arctic blast, the potential for ice and snow, and prolonged below freezing temperatures in St. Charles Parish. 

Residents are reminded to take care of the four Ps: people, pets, pipes and plants while making preparations for winter weather.
