All roads previously closed for snow accumulation in St. Charles Parish are now open. Some roads may still have ice on them, so drivers should proceed cautiously.
Below are the latest updates on operations in St. Charles Parish:
Offices and Programming
- Government Buildings and the Courthouse reopened on Friday, January 24.
- Recreation games on Friday and Saturday will occur as scheduled. Games from Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday have been rescheduled. Check www.scpparksandrec.com for new schedules.
- St. Charles Parish Council on Aging will reopen on Monday.
- 29th Judicial District Court has resumed normal operations.
Garbage Collection
- To make up for missed collection days, River Birch will run the following schedule:
- For Monday/Thursday routes, trash will be collected on Friday, January 24.
- For Tuesday/Friday routes, trash will be collected on Saturday, January 25.
- For Wednesday/Saturday routes, trash will be collected on Sunday, January 26.
- Normal trash collection and routes will resume on Monday, January 27.
Road Openings
- The following routes previously closed are now open:
- I-10 in St. Charles Parish
- I-310 between I-10 and US 90, including the Hale Boggs Bridge
- LA 3127 ramp to I-310 Northbound
- US 90 Bridge in Des Allemands
- US 90 between Willowdale Blvd and Live Oak Blvd
