Road Closures for March 11

Road or Lane Status

LA 48 (River Road) in Norco: Prospect Avenue (LA 627) to St. Charles Street, St Charles Parish

LA 48 (River Road) in Norco from Prospect Avenue (LA 627) to St. Charles Street, recurring intermittent lane closures starting on Monday, March 2 through Friday, March 20, 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM each night (ending Saturday morning, March 21) for repair work on the pipe racks that cross over LA 48 (River Road). The work is scheduled to be done overnight Monday through Friday to minimize impacts to the community. Traffic details will be in place to allow traffic through as needed or in the event emergency vehicles needs to pass through the area.

 

Parish Road Closure

Hwy 628 (CC Road), between the KCS railroad and Hwy 61, will be closed January 26, 2026 thru March 13, 2026 for driving of sheet pile along the edge of the road and driving of batter piles. Hwy. 628 will be open from KCS railroad to the spillway road and River Road. Haul trucks, Cembell Industries, and Vickers Lane residents will need to use Spillway Road or River Road.  

 

Starting on Friday, February 13 there will be physical barriers across LA 628 (CC Road) until further notice, and emergency vehicles will not be able to pass.

 

Parish Road Closure

Jonathan Street in Destrehan remains closed until further notice. All emergency traffic can use Bunge’s heavy hall road to access Noel Street in the rear of the facility to avoid Lorraine Street.

Ormond Center Court, Destrehan 

Ormond Center Court in Destrehan is obstructed from 150 Ormond Center Court (Reginelli’s) to 3001 Ormond Blvd (Buddy's Frostop) due to road construction. A detour has been set up, and vehicle traffic can pass through the area.

 

Road or Lane Status

LA 3127: from St. James Parish Line to St. Charles Parish Line – St. John the Baptist Parish – Roadwork (Road Construction) – H.010385

 

There will be intermittent and alternating lane closures on LA 3127 between St. James Parish Line and St. Charles Parish Line, beginning on Monday, November 3, 2025, through Friday, October 30, 2026, from 6AM to 6PM, weather permitting, while construction crews install drainage structures and an asphalt mill and overlay.

 

Permit Information:
Oversized loads are restricted to 12 feet in width.

Detour Information:
Motorists may use the following routes to avoid the work zone:
Motorists traveling LA 3127 east may take LA 3213 north to LA 641, then north to I-10, then east to I-310 (Exit 220), then south to re-intersect LA 3127.
Motorists traveling LA 3127 west may take I-310 north to I-10, then west to LA 641 (Exit 194), then south to LA 3213

 

 

Road or Lane Status

LA 52 (Paul Maillard Rd.), St. Charles Parish

Periodic single lane closures for Entergy Utility work on Paul Maillard Rd (LA 52) between River Road (LA 18) and Angus Drive, will begin on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at,. All work and lane closures are expected to be completed by June 24, 2026. One lane will be closed at a time, only when Entergy is working in the roadway. Flaggers will be maintaining traffic in the area of the work.
