St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation is proud to announce that the department is now a part of the Little League Official Community and the holder of the new St. Charles Little League charter, bringing an exciting new opportunity for young athletes across St. Charles and St. John Parish.
The newly established Little League program will be open to boys and girls ages nine through 12, and will serve eligible athletes who live or attend school in St. Charles or St. John the Baptist Parish.
Tryout sign-ups will open from December 8 to 19, with late registration available from December 20 to 21. After registration closes, the department will announce official tryout dates. All tryouts will be held at the West Bank Bridge Park in Luling.

“We are excited to bring this new Little League opportunity to the River Parishes,” said St. Charles Parks and Recreation Director Duane Foret. “This program will not only expand youth baseball and softball options in our community, but also strengthen partnerships between St. Charles and St. John Parish families.”
Athletes from St. Charles and St. John parishes who are not selected for Little League will still have the opportunity to participate in the department’s 2025 Spring Baseball or Softball programs through St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation.
The Little League season will tentatively start in March 2026 and run for eight weeks, with playoffs to follow and games played on Tuesday nights.
