UPDATE 12/20 7:25 p.m.: The repair has been made, and water pressure has been restored to affected customers. Water remains safe to drink.

The St. Charles Parish EOC and Waterworks have been notified of a water main break near Longview Drive in Destrehan. Waterworks is working to repair the break to restore pressure, but there will be reduced pressure along River Road from East Bank Bridge Park to Destrehan Animal Hospital and on Burguieres Lane. 

The water remains safe for residents to drink.
