ANNOUNCING 2026 SUMMER CAMP OFFERINGS

The St. Charles Parish Department of Parks and Recreation is excited to announce a full slate of camps, clinics and activities for Summer 2026. Registration for many of these activities will begin in May at www.scpparksandrec.com. Residents are strongly encouraged to sign up early to secure a spot in the camps.  

Summer Basketball Camp 
Summer basketball camp is a week-long session for boys and girls 6-16 years old open to attend and learn the fundamentals of basketball. Camp takes place at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center. The camp will be coached by Erica Randolph and the Hahnville High School Boys Basketball Team.  

Registration runs from May 1 – May 31.  

Session 1 – June 1 – June 4 
Session 2 – June 8 – June 11 
Session 3 – June 15 – June 18 

Summer Baseball Camp 
The summer baseball camp is offered to boys 7-14 years of age at the West Bank Bridge Park, fields 3 and 4. This two-week session in June will teach campers batting skills, pitching skills, fielding skills, base running, conditioning and more. The camp will be coached by Jared Vial and the Hahnville High School Baseball Team.  

Registration runs from May 1 – May 31.  
 
Session 1 - June 15 – June 18  
Session 2 - June 22 – June 25 

Summer Softball Camp 
Summer softball camp is open to girls 7-14 at the Destrehan High School Softball Field. This two-week session in June will teach campers batting skills, fielding skills, pitching skills, base running and conditioning. The camp will be coached by Craig Perrier and the Destrehan Fighting Wildcats Softball Team.  

Registration runs from May 1 – May 31.  

Session 1 – June 1 – June 4  
Session 2 – June 8 – June 11 

Summer Volleyball Camp 

Summer Volleyball Camp will take place at the Edward A. Dufresne Community Center. It will be hosted by Hahnville Head Coach Mendi LeBoeuf. This camp will be offered to boys and girls ages 6 -16. 

Registration runs from May 1 – May 31. 

Camp dates: July 6 – July 9 

First Tee Summer Golf Camp  

First Tee- Greater New Orleans is open to young golfers ages 6-12 looking to teach the fundamentals of golf while helping young people build character and healthy habits.  

Two sessions will be offered. The first will take place June 2 – June 5, and the second will be from June 23 – June 26.  

Kidcam Summer Camp 

For campers 5–13, the Spirit of Summer comes alive through weekly themes incorporating swimming at Hill Heights Country Club, STEM, sports, arts, life skills, movement, full use of the outdoor space, and Kidcam’s long-standing traditions.
