Destrehan Plantation will commemorate Heritage Day on Friday, April 10, by firing a cannon every hour on the hour from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. While these demonstrations are safe, they will produce loud noises that may be heard in surrounding neighborhoods. Residents and pet owners should plan accordingly and take any necessary precautions.
