The St. Charles Parish Department of Public Works will perform asphalt maintenance on the Union Pacific railroad crossing along Ashton Plantation Boulevard on Monday, May 11, 2026.

As part of the work, Ashton Plantation Boulevard will be closed between LA 18 and Deputy Jeff G. Watson Drive beginning at 8 a.m. The closure is expected to last until noon, but work may continue until 4 p.m. if necessary.

During the closure, Deputy Jeff G. Watson Drive will serve as the alternate route for traffic entering and exiting the Ashton Plantation subdivision. Emergency vehicles will be allowed to pass through the work zone as needed.

Residents and motorists are encouraged to plan accordingly, use caution in the area and expect possible delays. All work is weather permitting.
