James “Jimmy” Breaux dedicated 40 years of service to the St. Charles Parish Civil Service Board, serving as the Representative of the Parish President from August 1, 1981, to August 1, 2021.

Jimmy held this role close to his heart and strongly believed in the Civil Service System and its value to employees and St. Charles Parish Government. His loyalty, dedication, and professionalism set a high standard for public service.

In his honor, the Jimmy Breaux Outstanding Achievement Award was established in 2024. This award recognizes employees who demonstrate an exemplary standard of work throughout the year.
