About Wastewater

The Department of Wastewater maintains and operates all Parish owned sewerage facilities and properties. This includes a collection system with more than 300 lift stations and 300 miles of sewer lines, and a treatment system that includes three wastewater treatment plants.

The Wastewater team’s goal is to keep our community safe and healthy by treating raw sewage safely and effectively and according to The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ) regulations.
